I was an entrepreneur for over two decades before I even heard the word “Copywriter.”

Today, when I tell people what I do for a living (from the comfort of my own home office in front of a computer) and mention the word

‘copywriter,’ almost to a person, they respond with some comment similar to “Oh, yeah (pause) you help people get stuff copyrighted… uh…

how do you get that little ‘c’ sign anyway? I didn’t know you needed someone to help you do it.”

Ugh. Sigh.

Have you ever been to a website where finding the order button or contact information is like looking for a needle in a haystack?

I have, and it’s frustrating.

Have you ever been to a website because an add or link or friend convinced you that it had a product or service that you needed or wanted… but when you got to the site, you left without buying anything?

I have, and it makes me shake my head and wonder what the owner of the website was thinking.
